Recently, I realized that there are actions that can be performed in response to junk mail when in Hotmail, that you can’t do in when accessing Hotmail through Outlook.

1. When in Outlook, when it comes to different ways of deleting junk mail, THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY: All you can do is navigate to the junk email folder, then, Selecting the ones you want deleted, then “Delete.”

However, if you can just instead go in that Junk Email folder by logging into www.hotmail.com in your browser, you can report these messages as spam by selecting the ones you want gone and, and then clicking “Delete”.

This box will always come up:
junk mail 1

.. and then you select the “Report all” checkbox, and then Ok

If this particular way of deleting junk emails done by enough people, then Hotmail, or whoever, can maybe stand a better chance of figuring out to filter these out permanently.
It was worth the hassle of this blog to put the word out.

(By Firefox theme, it’s been real, but I can’t get into the graph background. Something to mess with during the weekend)
