PaintShop Pro X - my recent web graphic development tool purchase
I got an email from Corel, because I was a registered WINZip user (which is owned by different company who obviously struck a joint venture deal with Corel).
They were offering PaintShop Pro X (ten) at a good discount, and it came with “Creative Edition” (I installed this C.E. thing, and I’m sure those extra features are in there, but not sure in which menus).

This deal also came with some AVI videos of PSP tutorials from lynda.com. The particular author of this video series does a great job of showing me what I could do with PaintShop.
An example of what I’ve done so far is changing the header graphic of the root main web site for this blog: The TechWise Idea Machine Site.
I added the folding action, and painted on the 1’s and 0’s look underneath. (This header graphic originally came with a particular template I chose while creating the website with Xsite Pro’s site-creation Wizard.)
I’m not a pro at this graphic stuff, trust me. I’m a lot more comfortable in a python or delphi discussion forum, than discussing graphics.
I think the regular price is something like 99 bucks, which I’d gladly pay if I had to.
( I had previously tried making sense of Gimp, which I think is the open source equivalent of photoshop, but gave up, due more to my own skill level than anything)
